This is going to be my first offseason OU video thread. Some are youtube some are not.

First OU/OSU game, yeah it's before 1950 but it's the only one that is before those years

It is always striking to look at the blocking. Those guys might not have been the size or speed of today's players, but they dam straight played the game.

If you look closely, you can see some ankle on the cheerleaders in the 1963 OU/KU game.

Man, Gayle Sayers was special. Good stuff.

Greatest mystery of all time... how did Kansas get Gayle Sayers away from Nebraska. Sayers went to Omaha Central. Long time rumor in Omaha was that Sayers went to Kansas because he was interested in being a two sport star... this was the only explanation possible to Bugeater fans. Reality has it that Bob Devany was an arrogant prick.

It always amazes me how teams in the 40's and 50's didn't do much celebration at all. They'd score a TD and just hand the ball to the official and everyone would line up for the extra point. In that ND game video, the ND dude intercepts the pass in the endzone and even his teammates just kind of stand around like it was no big deal even though it sealed the enormous upset win for them.

Those teams were the highest scoring teams in school history. Especially in 56. I think that record held till 2003. They expected to score a lot. But yeah it was a different era of football.
