If he kicks and makes an extra point, will he be the first Sooner to ever score in the Super Bowl?

Kenny King has an 80 yard TD reception.

Super Bowl XV for the Raiders.

not counting Troy, only 1 Big8/12 QB has ever started a Super Bowl... i don't know if that is sad, or just unlucky

Troy Aikman, Uwe von Shamann for the scored 15 points in 2 SBs, Kenny King 81 Raiders. I'm sure there are others.

Go here (http://www.nfl.com/superbowl/history) and click the 'Go To' drop down to select the box score of any Super Bowl.

Those are the only 3 I could find. Thought there would be more.

There should be more but Billy Sims and Steve Owens played for the Lions.

That's because anyone who is really good ends up playing for sorry NFL teams. Take Barry Sanders for another example (I know he's oswho, but still a fine running back)

Chase Daniel got to hug the winning quarterback and will get a Super Bowl ring.

Garrett was on top of his game... but he looked a little zoned after his third field goal... like he wasn't happy having to kick or maybe it wasn't perfectly centered through the uprights.

Who is that? Vince Ferragamo?

And Nick, it's the '80 Raiders for Kenny King. You're going to get this right one of these days.

All it really means is the Big 8/12 should always try to get talented and closeted quarterbacks.

When he played, DM was considered one of the best in the league. Preseason talk almost always included the Dolphins as one of the favorites to make the Super Bowl from the AFC. Despite his gaudy statistics as one of the all-time leading passers, he only made one Super Bowl and that was his second year in the league. His advice to players on Super Bowl teams is to enjoy the moment because you never know if you will get another one.

I believe we've actually had a sooner throw a TD pass in a super bowl... Steve Sewell threw a pass back to Elway in '87 or so... I believe Elway scored on the play... or did he?

He threw a pass to Elway in the Redskins Super Bowl game. Don't remember it as a TD though.

Sewell didn't complete a TD pass but he did complete a 23 yard pass.

So... let me get this straight.

Garrett Hartley is so NAILS kicking FGs and PATs that he makes the defending Super Bowl Champions roster... we hold it against Jimmy Stevens for missing 3 FGs over the course of 6 games?

Got it.

I always consider Aikman a Sooner, even if it was for only one year (and he was hurt for half of it). He did win a National Championship. Is he the only Sooner to win a National title and a Super Bowl (not counting the King)?

Others that won both college and nfl championships, Randy Hughes, Spencer Tillman, Tommy McDonald, Keith Jackson, was Jammal Brown a redshirt freshman in 2000? If he was then he's another one.

Yep, and has a dubious distinction of not playing a down for either team.

Greg Pruitt has a ring, don't know if he scored in the game, though.
