iTunes/iPhone help

So I had to reinstall my operating software and couldn't sync our iPhones before it crashed. I was able to get our my documents folder over to an external hardrive first. So Ive recopied all our music back to the my music folder and our contacts back in the address book.

Is there anyway not to lose everything I've added since the last sync. (music, new contacts, pictures etc). Trying to make this as painless as possible.

You didn't happen to save the actual iPhone backup file did you?

It automatically creates a backup, but most people forget to backup the backup and lose it when something goes wrong. I'm guilty of this myself.

I may. I'll look in the folder when I get home. It still won't be as live as I'd like.

Don't forget to backup the apps as well. It's a pain in the *** to re-download if you have a lot.
