Since he inexplicably made All-American, he probably got some d*chebag agent to tell him he won't need to play, since playing at this point would only hurt, not help, his draft status.

I mean, or he could be sick or something; attending a wake. I don't know. Was he supposed to be there?

this is my guess... why play anyway? These post season games are mainly for players with something to prove. Up draft stock. Alot of mock drafts have williams in the 1st round anyway...
