Bob Stoops is still the coach.History has shown that Bob and the boys rebound well from dissappointing seasons. In 1999 Sooners went 7-5 and followed that with 13-0 CC-NC,11-2,12-2 CC,12-2,12-1 CC.In 2005 we finished 8-4 and came back with 11-3 CC,11-3 CC,12-2 CC.History is on OUr side.

OUr first win this season will make us the EIGHTH team in NCAA history to have 800 wins(at least technically). We were forced toforfeit 3 games in 1972 so OFFICIALLY we need 4 wins.I look at it as a chance to celebrate the milestone TWICE.

Bob Stoops(117-29) needs just 6 wins to pass Bennie Owen(122-54-16) for third on OU's career wins list.Only Bud(145-29-4) and Barry (157-29-4) will remain ahead(at least for the short term).OU remains the only NCAA school with (4) 100+ win coaches. Thanks to Petey(97 wins ) leaving USC for the NFL ,it will be a while before any school threatens that mark.

DeMarco Murray needs just NINE TDs to break the school record for TDs scored. He currently trails Steve Owens 57-49.

Ryan Broyles needs 65 recetions to become only the second OU reciever to record 200 career receptions.Ryan would need 83 to pass Mark Clayton's record of 217.

That is about all I can come up with for now.I've been up since 4:30 and my brain has turned to mush. Please feel free to add to the list.

The OL is coming back, with eight months to get healthy, as opposed to six days they were getting between injuries in 2009.

Check.

Help is on the way by way of redshirts, JUCOs and new guys to the O-Line.

Check.

Landry will be a year better.

Check.

DeMarco (knock on wood) has an entire off-season to improve. And no one threatening him for 50% or more of the carries in 2010.

Check.

DeJuan, Ryan, Jaz >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Tennell, Caleb, Kenney. Sorry BC and CK. :( Overall this unit should be vastly improved.

Check.

Austin Haywood, Gabe Ikard on hand to help Ratterree and Hanna build a more solid TE corps. As with the OL, QB, RB and WR corps... there's strength in numbers and experience returning.

Check.

Offense slated for improvement overall. But don't use 2008 as a measuring stick. Think somewhere between 2006 and 2007. I'd say as a realist, that's a realistic expectation, though.

Defense has no one guy who has proven himself worthy of a double-team at DT yet. One of two things happen this way.

1. A star emerges early due to opposition not having enough film on him nor experience against him.
2. We get our lunch eaten by the pass-happy Cincinnati and BIG 12 QBs.

DL looks great to return 4 guys with game experience on the edge, but until Taylor is on someone's All-America player of the week highlight, or at least healthy... we're replacing two starters and a senior backup. Bodies are there, we'll see how things work out.

Casey Walker, Jamarkus McFarland, Stacy McGee (which side of the ball is he going to settle on anyway? :D) and a school of youngsters coming in August.

LB corps... let's just say between them and Q. Carter at safety, we're not going to see much inside stuff. :D

Secondary looks like it will be okay provided there's no injuries (knocking on wood again). Nelson, Hurst, Proctor and Carter are a good group.

...to see Bob Stoops scream at refs, throw his headset, and make reporters feel like the stupidest human beings to ever walk the face of the planet. I love him so much.

And the lack of orange really cannot be overstated, excellent point.

I find it odd that OU's three best coaches all had exactly 29 losses. Hopefully we can keep it that way for a while.

(no, I don't want Stoops fired)

1. Bob is still our coach
2. Landry will be better
3. Line will be better
4. Recievers will be better
5. Coaches not satisfied with Sun Bowl appearance
6. Lastly, the fact that we all get to put on our crimson and cream every Sat. in the fall and be fans of one of the greatest, if not the greatest college football program in the country!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Next season is looking pretty good... good athletes at the skill positions and with a young team last year, only looking better next.

We don't have Mike Garrett as an athletic director.
