We're looking to re-carpet most of our house and have about 900 sq ft to do so. We checked out the Lowes/Home Depot thing and have just read bad reviews about them, so I'm a little unsure about doing my business with them. Does anyone know of a good place that will do decent carpet installation? We're located in the Metro.

As long as the carpet matches the drapes you are golden.

I can't give you any specifics in your area but Lowes/Home Depot will rip you off. We have one of those insurance claim buying places here that sell lots of stuff cheap, they began doing carpet and flooring about 20 years ago and I bet I pay half of what the others guys charge including installation. They buy carpet leftovers from other jobs so I need to go in weekly to look for what I want. I'm sure there are these types of businesses in your area.
