Suprise find

Was cleaning a closet that I had not been in in a few years because of deployments and other things. I found some older newspapers and started looking through them. It turns out that I rediscovered the Daily Oklahoman and Enid Morning News and Eagle and the headlines of the 1985 National Championship, which is really weird because I had just finished rewatching my dvd copy of the game earlier that day. Maybe that is a hint of things that are coming in the near future. BOOMER SOONER!!!!!! I would be walking on air if I come up with papers from 1975 (LOL)!

Unfortunately, I just found one of my long-lost Sooners Illustrated announcing the promotion of Gary Gibbs to head coach.

Lord! I wasn't even in the country during those years, so didn't have to put up with the man in real-time and it still sours my day to think about him. Luckily it's Friday, so soon I'll be able to drink him off my mind.
