A friend of mine says he heard this from a Posse Club member.Personally I don't see it BUT it would be funny.I can just picture the meltdown from BOTH Poke and Vol fans.

Gumby's benefitting from A&M being down right now... don't know how he'd do against a bunch of elite coaches in the SEC... seeing how he's never beaten one before.

I'm not sure how much Aggy would cry to see him go. Most Aggy I know think they can do better. Not sure about that, but it's a widespread sentiment, especially after his brain-dead performances against the worst OU team in 10 years and a mediocre-at-best Ole Miss to end Aggy's season.

They're just trying to get some attention in the Coach__________ to go to _________ University game.

Could pistol pete volunteer to go too?

He'd be crazy to take the job. At OSU he has a lot of protection to overcome bad feelings among the fanbase. At UT he would be totally exposed and the first down season he would be out of a job.

Oh man, it would be funny to watch the vols tear their AD limb from limb when the saw Gumby in action. Wow, good times.

they beat georgia this year, although they were far from elite.

i think gundy would be confused by that many people coming to watch his team at home if he got the tennessee job

Honestly, how much longer is gonna get in stoolwater? He practically has to start over next season anyway, right? I'm just kinda wondering if the pokes have a down season - say in 2010 - would boone have that "conversation" with him?

KOKH channel 25 mentioned Gundy as being on the Vol list.I did not catch their source.

Maybe they are only looking at coaches that already wear orange! Cannot think of another reason to look at Gundy.

This is just Gundy's agent earning his money. Trying to get some leverage for his client.

So he could go from 3rd-best job in the Big 12 South to 3rd-best job in the SEC East? And instead of struggling to beat Baylor he can struggle to beat Vanderbilt?

I think they said the source was the Aggy Fan base. I know I'd been rooting for him to get the he!! out of my universtiy if I were cursed with him as my coach. T Boone has done all they can to try and buy a a championship and can't do it. If they had a decent coach with all of that bank behind them they would have a accomplished a lot more by now. Or maybe not, it is aggy land.

you can take the sheep humper out of the program, but then your still left with a violated sheep... what type of individual would want 2nds on that?

exactly.

I'd agree, but you usually do things like that after good seasons. Not ones where your team tanks at the end and people think about firing you.

What did Dad used to say?

BE CAREFUL WHAT YOU WISH FOR!

although, watching the gumby to TN show unfold would be a whole new level of awesome.

Personally, I have a soft spot for TN. They gave us a big hand in... 85, wasn't it?

Leroy Lizard

Yes, without the Vols we have no '85 championship.

From the outside looking in, Gundy doesn't look so bad. He has had some good teams and seasons. We know more about OSU and their coach than Vol fans.
