They said that Neuheisal and Chow butted heads a lot last season....

I cant imagine that someone as hard headed as leach is going to be able to go straight into an inferior position with a hard headed coach like neuheisal and both get along.

I think he'll have fun out there. Eff tech. With UCLA, you don't have to be the Big 10 or Pac 10 champion to play in the Rose Bowl!

Good for you, Mikey. Best of luck to ya.

Norm Chow hasn't officially taken the USC job so I doubt this is true yet.

No matter where Leach goes I'm sure it will be a relief not having to stop several times in a day just to rinse the dust out of his eyes. Tubbs does not know whats hes in for.

Looks like this is BS.

Meanwhile, sources close to the school told ESPN's Shelley Smith on Tuesday night that a deal is being worked on in hopes of bringing longtime offensive coordinator Norm Chow back to USC in the same capacity.

On Wednesday, however, Chow's agent, Don Yee, steadfastly denied that USC has been in talks with Chow.

"Last night's reports are false. There are no negotiations that are occurring. And, as of this morning [Wednesday], we have not received any contact from USC regarding any offers for coach Chow to leave UCLA," Yee told ESPN, adding that no media contacted him about the initial circulation of Chow reports.

Chow had not been directly contacted by USC, either, Yee said. If the Trojans do pursue his client in the immediate future, Yee did not reject the possibility of a deal.

"As his representative, I'd have an obligation to present any proposal to coach Chow but I have nothing to present to him," Yee told ESPN.

I hope he lights the PAC 10 up.

He should fit right in out here. He'll make Orygun's "high power" offense look like it's moving in slow mo!

If this happens, slick Rick and Mike working together will definitely add more drama to the best off season in college football ever!!!

Go Mike!

Leach runs in 2012 in new party: The Pirate Party.

His running mate: Johnny Depp in full pirate gear.

"Vote for us or go in the shed, savvy?"

NONE of this is confirmed. Anyone quoting ESPN at this time is working on pure conjecture and hearsay. Nothing is being reported as a done deal.

Leach is a very capable coach.. I hope the guy gets a good job in coaching OUTSIDE the big 12...

Ok, here is the deal. I started the thread from my phone while I was working and havent had a chance to go into detail. Colin Cowherd, while pretentious, annoying, and overall an ***, has the some of the best inside sources in the business. He called the whole kiffin thing yesterday morning, and has been right on every big coaching move so far. He said his sources at USC and UCLA both have said the Chow deal is gonna happen, and UCLA already has Leach ready to be announced to replace him.

I'm a fan of Kevin Wilson, but I'd have no qualms showing him the door and hiring Leach.

Shame Stoops is too loyal to do so.

Leach has his issues offensively, too. Like abandoning the run game completely. And he hates punting... therefore, would eventually tire out working under someone like Stoops who has confidence in his D to play the field position game.

Leach's offense is much quicker-developing, IMO though... we're awful easy to read and our shotgun sets are slower than they used to be.

I was disturbed to hear him say that he usually goes outside before he gets dressed and feels what the weather is like. Ewwww

Of course he's in Lubbock, so what does he expect? Dusty, windy.

So does he still have any chums in Oklahoma who keep in touch? I heard rumors he had some good ol' times around Normantowne. Does he go huntin' and fishin' with Ol'Vet and knock back a few NattyLights for old times?

One thing I'm not getting about this one: USF just cans their coach for player abuse, & they're gonna bring in another guy who just got let go for the same? Something's going over my head on that one.

Abuse! Leach didn't abuse anyone! Since when is time out abuse? He just refused to apologize for giving a spoiled kid a little discipline.

leach was stoops' first oc for OU in 99.

it was the offense leach built that won us the NC in 2000.

Leach didnt run the ball because his linemen where small and cant run block, and he didnt punt because his defense is mediocre and he wants to win

huh?

Do you think that Leach would ever call a play like Mangino did against KSU where Josh Heupel has not one but two option pitches from center? The 00 offense was more about ball control and running the clock.
