Man if we can get them back it would be huge, especially with all the losses that ut, fla, and bama are having

Broyles said he'll be back after the Sun Bowl.

No, it was right after the game on the field in an interview.

If Broyles left, I really have no idea what we would do on offense next season.

Statements like that though....well...

In August last year....if you would have said "Gresham and/or Bradford"....you would have felt far worse than losing Broyles though...right?

I think it would hurt....but guys come and go. Right now Broyles is on fire. I hope he's twice the threat next year. It should really open things up for the other guys like Miller, Ratterree, Hanna, Madu, Caleb or Jaz Reynolds. On top of that...we have no idea or not right now (some folks might speculate of course) just who else might pop up on the radar and challenge any one of those guys for their positions.

I'm a tad more optimistic even if God forbid Broyles couldn't go.

Stills is an early enrollee, and as a scouting report says, has "spider-web hands". Plus, he runs a 4.3 40....I know people will say times in high school are useless, but california athletes are normally pretty fast. I see him emerging, but like you said it's all speculation.

My statement was a little 'tongue in cheek'. But, it would hurt tremendously.

I doubt Broyles would leave.... he is only a soph. Its hard for anyone with that much experience to leap into the NFL, or the first round at that. Like Bob says, whats the point of leaving if your not in the first round. And I did hear him say he was staying in the Sun bowl post interview. Beal is another story, I've heard it both ways..... he's leaving..... he's staying. I'm still pissed about Franks leaving.

With the rookie signing cap coming, everyone's getting out why they can, its a bad time to have good underclassmen (Broyles, Beal)

the db's is a big bunch..I know franks got a 2nd round grade, but several of those other guys got 1st round grades meaning the others will be pushed down

If we are going to trot out that same O scheme next year (which we are) and Broyles leaves we are F'ed! Period! We would need multiple D scores to win at least two road games. In my opinion, Broyles is way more ready for the league than Franks is.
