I apologize if this has been repeated on another board but this is extremely serious.

A young lady, Julia Gilbert, disappeared last night and NO ONE has heard from her.

More from newsok

If you have any clue of her whereabouts or her car, call police!

Thanks!

3 things I think could've possibly happened:

1) got incredibly drunk and took a wrong turn, but she would've been found easily
2) met someone in secret

3) someone got into her car and held her hostage

This story makes me sick and sad. Why did she not just sleep on the friend's couch? Who the hell let a 20-year-old leave at 3:30 a.m. in single digit temperatures to go drive on slick, hazardous rural roads? Forget veering off the road into a ditch... she could have frozen to death if she'd merely had car trouble or a flat tire. What a senseless way to go. God, her poor parents....

Very sad. When we are young we are bullet proof and never think anything bad will happen, it is to bad she didn't wait til morning. Prayers for her Parent's. We was a very pretty young Lady.

Guys, as if this story wasn't bad enough already . . .

Julia was the daughter of John Gilbert. John works at Keith F. Walker Oil & Gas in Norman. For those of you who don't come to the tailgates - we rent our tailgate lot from Keith F. Walker Oil & Gas. John and his family come to just about every tailgate, and although I didn't know her, I am told Julia was a regular attendee.

I am going to be sending some flowers from all of us at SF.com. For those who wish to contribute for that, you can send $ via PayPal to [email protected].

Something doesnt seem right about this, she was 17 miles away from her house in the opposite direction? Seems odd to me...Regardless, RIP

Yeah, I have been following this for the last couple days. I even joined the group on facebook before the news broke. Its just sad. It makes you take a step back and realize the important things in life. I used to think it was the end of the world to lose a football game. A game. Certainly makes you appreciate having your loved ones in your life as they could be gone tomorrow with no warning. Prayers to her family.

Praying intensely and seeing if there's anything that can be done using some Marine contacts there in OK. Perhaps they might be able to help in the search/investigation.

Dammit. God bless this sweet young spirit and all who love her.

I saw a news report yesterday in which her parents said she had been on some kind of medication that caused her to get disoriented sometimes. There may have been other inhibitors, too, but there was at least that.

My heart does go out to her family and friends, though. Thoughts and prayers for them.

Her dad stopped by almost every tailgate this past year, and she was at a few of them. I can't even imagine losing a child. I hope John and his wife find a way to cope with this deal.

I grew up with the Gilberts. John was a senior in high school when I was a sophmore and Tim was a junior. Went to OU with them also. My sister worked with Tim when he was first a surgeon. Tragic.

Having lost my 16 year old son in an auto accident that never should have happen, I know they will find a way to cope because you can't do anything else. You never get use to losing a child, you just learn to go on living with the pain and wonder "who" for ever! My prayer is for God to wrap his loving arms around her family and friends and let them feel the love of the many people who feel their pain with them.
