One of my many MNC-related Facebook status updates from last night:

"(SbOrOiNaEnR) would love to see Nick Saban punch Pete Carroll in the face as long as he's in Pasadena, leaving an imprint of the National Championship ring on his cheek as a permanent reminder of who ACTUALLY won the title in 2003."

Uh, I think you're missing overall records in your analysis there. I'm not sure that Utah or Miami deserves to be in the top 10. I know Miami won an NC, but the second half of the decade they were mostly a .500 team.

Should you get points for Heismans? What about national title game appearances?

Also, as much as I hate to say it, LSU should be higher. They did win 2 titles...

I'd say (even though it makes me gag a little bit):

Florida
LSU
USC

then the rest... Also, what was our head to head with Texas for the decade? I know we owned the first half, but can't remember it overall.

wait, why does that matter? You should list their conference titles like all the other schools on the list.

Cuz ten-win seasons are way better than conference titles! Duh!

Kinda like the whole 3-way tie debacle, the only data that matter are the ones that cast Texas in the better light. Every good national sportswriter/caster knows that.

3 way tie? what are you talking about? I thought Texas beat Oklahoma head to head.

HEAD TO HEAD.

What was that score again?

I wonder if UT has any flyover plans for next year.
