from the Tulsa World website. Kind of cool now that he has moved up, i thought if Mark took that job like it was rumored to be a possibility he would pull big bro out of the high school ranks but a good choice by their new coach.

Oklahoma coach Bob Stoops has always spoken with pride of his older brother Ron, who has remained a high school defensive coordinator at their alma mater, Cardinal Mooney High in Youngstown, Ohio.
Now, however, Ron Stoops has joined the college ranks.
Ron Stoops was hired as defensive backs coach and director of high school relations at Youngstown State University, a Football Championship Subdivision-tier program.
In a press release, Ron Stoops called it "a chance to keep my roots in Youngstown and do something I love. . . . With our kids being out of high school, the opportunity was too good not to take."
Ron Stoops is the oldest of four brothers — Bob, Mike (head coach at Arizona) and Mark (defensive coordinator at Florida State).
Ron Stoops spent the last nine years as defensive coordinator at Mooney, the same job held by his late father, Ron Sr.
Ron Stoops will work under newly hired head coach Eric Wolford, a Youngstown native who worked under Mike Stoops as offensive line coach at Arizona from 2004-06.
