Here's my thing:

Having watched Alabama pretty closely all year, they don't look like a championship football team. There's no games on the schedule where the Tide absolutely demolished a really good team. There have been a couple of games where they were taken down to the wire by two teams with massively inferior talent: Tennessee and Auburn.

On the flip side, I don't think the ****heads from Austin look much like a championship team either.

I know which team I'm rooting for, for sure. I do think that Alabama has a bit more complete offense than Texas (McCoy is better than McElroy, but Jones is better than Shipley and Ingram and Richardson are both better than anyone Texas has on the roster at RB.) The defenses are kind of a wash, though McClain and Cody are animals. I think both teams are going to struggle moving the ball. Wild card: Muschamp was an assistant under Saban, and the two know each other's defenses inside and out.

Back to the question. I don't know why the country is showing so much love for Alabama. I think they are lucky to be undefeated. Ask Tennessee what they think about it! If McCoy has just an above average game, I think Texas wins.

If I was a gambling man (yes, that is a joke) I would take the whorns with the points. I hope they win because it will be better beating "last year's national champion" as opposed to "last year's runner up" next October. Also I am sick of the SEC's braggin', and all the media's man-love for that worthless conference.
