when you're in a mid-major conference with the likes of san jose state, utah state, new mexico state, louisiana tech, etc...and your TOUGHEST games are nevada and fresno, you have a chance to compensate for that by scheduling a grueling non-conference schedule.

boise state chose to schedule oregon (legit), MIAMI OF OHIO, BOWLING GREEN, UC DAVIS, and TULSA!!!!!! that is not enough. they played two games that proved anything...one the first week of september and one last night.

while BCS teams are facing pitfalls almost every week, Boise has very few legit opportunities to lose. simply throw an arizona, stanford, and cal into their season and they most likely end up slipping up and losing one...

Boise is a good team, and they deserve* a spot in the BCS. Any good team, like Boise, who has good coaching who is motivated can beat anyone in a one-game scenario. Like OU '05 and TCU '09. But put BSU through a conference like Big-10, PAC-10, SEC or Big 12 week after week, and they would have 3-4 losses every year. They dont have the talent the other schools do as proven by the lack of BSU players in the NFL compared to fomer players from OU, USC, TX, LSU, UF etc... Plus, BSU players never leave early for the draft because they simply dont have the talent. BSU players rarely get injured because of the difference in talent of the opposition. I bet if they faced any team from the Big 12 south every year, the players would drop like flies with injuries.

BSU coaching staff is more or less in place for a long time compared to high power schools like OU, TX, USC, Bama, FL.. These power-schools from power-conferences are a revolving door for excellent coaches who stay for a couple years, then move on to the next level. For the most part, BSU coaches stay there for quite a while.

BSU does not and should not ever deserve a chance to play in the BCS national championship game, until quit playing a panzy a** conference and they face the gauntlet of teams from a real conference.

Put BSU and Fresno St in the Pac 12 with a North/South with a CCG.
Put ND in the Big 10 with a East/West with a CCG
Lets level the playing field please.

BSU is good. Not great, and will never be great until they join a Big 12 or Pac 12.
