Said, "whats up world, I know you been missing me cus ive been missing you. Just wanted to say thanks to everyone and let you know the surgery went well" more or less

Also said "some people jumped off the bandwagon due to the season but the victory was for the fans who stuck with them and theyre gonna get to the title game next yr"

Its basically a thank you message for all of his support from his friends and fans. He also said thank you for all of the fans that supported the team even though we didn't have the season we expected.

That is awesome.
Facebook can be a positive when used in this avenue.
When McCoy and Taylor had there exchange, my wife (ex-sooner athlete) got teary-eyed and I got goose bumps. That was pure, on the spot, show of emotion for a fellow fallen teammate. It was awesome...

Same with me, I got those goose bumps. It shows the closeness that our team has.

Did I hear him say that people were giving him gifts? Oh dear... looks like Texas fans and media are gonna be screaming for the NCAA to investigate

That was one of the coolest things I have ever seen! I also got the goosebumps. I knew that GK wouldn't let us loose

Glad his surgery went well, that was horrific, hopefully it will heal completely and he'll be back at it in the fall.

Ya when they were putting AT on the cart looked like 10 sooners were out there with their teammate and you knew it was on. They were done messing with those dirty stanford lineman.

A-Train looks high as a kite.
Understandably so.
Can't wait to see him rebound this fall.

I was just re-watching the game and saw this injury a bit better on the replay. It was hard to see how serious it was where we were sitting.

My heart goes out to ya A-Train. Prayers for a speedy and painless recovery.

BOOMER SOONER BABY!

You could see the reaction of our players when they got unpiled. They saw Adrian's foot and started frantically waving and jumping up down trying to get trainers out there. He showed a lot of heart in his exchange with GK.

Yeah, but all it says is BOOMER!:D

And there's a problem with that...how? :D

If I'm ever blessed enough to meet that man, I have an OU/Operation Iraqi Freedom Challenge Coin for him that my son brought back to me from the sandbox.

No problem whatsoever. I was one who said he had earned the right to say or do whatever he wants at the Heisman ceremonies. The smilie was meant to say that I approved. I was a fan of Billy's when we first started recruiting him. I have remained that to this day, even through his really hard times.

No offense intended. Billy Sims is DA MAN!

Billy turned his life around. I like him.

I think I might go eat me some Boomer Q today too.

So what was the diagnosis for those of us away from Oklahoma?

StoopTroup
1/10/2010, 02:57 PM
Looked like a compound fracture of both bones around 4-6 inches above the ankle. When he was laying there his foot was about 90% from where it should have been. Horrific injury.

Probably something like this...
