My travel arrangements. Decided to just stay home. Its snowing on I-20 right now. I'm not fighting the weather and other drivers to go to El Paso......it just ain't worth it.

Cold? Everyone. Probably the offense more than the defense.

Snow can be hell on a defense though too. Hard to get a pass rush, hard to cover receivers.

The forecast looks pretty good for Thurs in El Paso right now.

As a former kicker, I concur with the kicking part. Just in watching the Temple-UCLA game, I watched the Temple punter fall right on his backside while trying to kick the ball, and the UCLA kicker (Lou Groza Winner) talked about how he had to completely change his approach and stance.

I'd say which ever part of the game has the most Sally's.

Kicking a football in cold weather is like kicking a brick. The ball just has very little bounce or rebound off the foot.

I just pulled in to El Paso......no snow. Cold, but supposed to be in the mid 50's on game day.

We are in a great RV park only about 10 miles from the stadium......anybody needs a place to park the RV let me know!!

Whatever it hurts here will hurt both teams equally. But you have to think OU will have a slight psychological edge since they will be used to the weather and Stanford will be thinking, "What is this crap?"

If you think our receivers had a hard time catching balls before, wait until it's really cold.

Last night's Champs Sports Bowl, Miami and Wisconsin and the nighttime temperature in Orlando, FL was in the 50's. Shots of the Hurricane players hunkered down under the heaters while the Badger fans are in short-sleeved shirts.

Commentator talking just before halftime: The Miami coaches should go and open the windows to the lockerroom, don't let the players get warm or they won't want to go back out there.

The forecast for the game tomorrow is sunny and around 50. The highs here in Palo Alto have been 50-55 for the past few weeks, so no advantage there. Maybe the altitude will have an effect since Norman is above 1000' and Stanford is at sea level - I think El Paso is just below 4000'. But not much difference there. It looks to be a little breezy, which could impact our passing game and not their running game. I suspect they have a better kicking game, so a breeze might be an equalizer.

Cold? There is a reason that they do not play a bowl game in South Dakota. I would say the passing game though, that is why they consider the Big 10 big and slow, and play smashmouth football. You can't spread it out and throw it around when it is 10 degrees.
