For good? Or just because Jeffries is stuck in Memphis?

He was wearing number 68 and practicing with the o-line for bedlam. Its for depth purposes.

Coming out of HS they said he could play either position, I wander if this is for the long run or just for the bowl?

I'm thinking it is just for the bowl

What happened to Jeffries?

Jeffries couldn't get to El Paso until Sunday night. He was snowed in, in Memphis, and apparently with all the delayed and cancelled flights due to weather couldn't get a seat on a flight until then.

McGee has been working with the OL for a permanent transfer over for most of the season. Happens when a true freshman (Jamrakus McFarland) comes in and steals your thunder.

Here's hoping he's as successful as our last few DL guys to move to the OL.

Good point... Romero, Brown, Simmons, all worked out pretty well. Did Davin Joseph work at DT any, when he first arrived?

D-linemen usually have that mean streak in them that bodes well for playing on both sides of the ball. Works for linebackers/TE/FBs as well. Guys who you need to be powerful and aggressive. I remember Torrance Marshall occasionally lining up at fullback in 2000.

I think as a defensive guy it would kinda suck to go to the other side. But hopefully he understands that he has the possibility of more playing time and therefore more exposure on the OL.

Yes, Davin Joseph started as a DL before moving to OL.

Sam Bradford can't throw, but can he block?

I think we will be fine at DT without Mcgee, not saying he's not a great talent on the defensive side of the ball, but we have decent depth there for now. After this season we'll have Taylor, Mcfarland, Walker, Peterson and Noble coming in as well, cant remember if Cordero Moore is a senior or not?? But that seems like a pretty solid group coming back, not to mention all the talent at DE. If hes got talent on the O line i say leave him there and let him play.
