Your man was spotted at our practice yesterday. Our two coaches must have a pretty good relationship for Bob to fire up the jet on Christmas Eve and fly over during bowl preparation season instead of just dialing Nick up on his cell.

Stoops is trying to get the "swagger" (gawd I hate that word) back in his troops. Needs Sabans advice on how to do it.

Could it be that Bob is helping Saban as much or more as the other way around?

Yes. I would suggest focusing on what Bob will be taking back to Norman, not what he is bringing to Tuscaloosa.;)

Well you can guarantee now that we won't get any damn help from the refs in the near future against Texasss

He's confirming with Saban how his defense shutdown Texas.

Those two working together is interesting for sure. His teams lately have played very motivated in big games, and we obviously played well despite key losses against Tejas. Hard to say who benefits more...

Sounds like Stoops is just repaying the favor. I remember all those UF fans up in arms last year because Saban gave OU advice and broke that stupid SEC! SEC! thing they like to scream about.

The importance of having a Suh or Gerald McCoy in those games was a huge part of the reason that OU and Nebraska were able to slow down Texas. I don't think Bama has anyone like either of those guys on their D-Line. posted by ttazhorn.

This idiotic hornfan never heard of mount Cody...not mention I've heard many analysts say Bama's secondary is probably better than OU's or the Huskers.

not to mention that Cody's assignment is different than McCoy's or Suh's based on the fact that Bama runs a 3-4 instead of a 4-3 or any variant hybrid that mainly has 4 down linemen most snaps. I'm sure they'll become very familiar with Rolando McClain's name being called.

The way I see it for you guys, it is critical that Texas lose the NC, to anyone. Prior to Texaas winning the title in 2005, OU/Stoops owned TX/Brown. You guys pulled nearly any recruit you wanted out of Texas and Mack Brown was openly on the hot seat. Since then it has completely reversed... OU recruits 70 to 90% of their team from Texas and being in control over Texas is critical. Yes, OU has been in the NC game more often, but they lose. If Texas wins, OU slides further down in the estimation of the recruits. You have already begun losing some top recruits to T A&M & TTech. Any action that Stoops can take to stop Texas from winning the NC, he will take.

Don't you agree?

Now this thread makes sense.. Bob had inside knowledge on the Meyer thing and knowing he would be at UF next year, wanted to scout 'Bama to prepare for next years SEC CCG.

Saban doesn't need Bob's advice on how to shut down Texas. The Tide will dominate Texas' offense the entire game.
