My unsolicited advice: wait until around January 15. That way, you'll be more likely to avoid a puppy mill "Christmas puppy" with the hip problems to which that breed is so prone. And for the record, I love German Shepherds (a/k/a Alsatians)

Ya, we're not in a hurry o anything, it's not a Christmas gift. Just wondering if anyon on here knew of a trusted breeder in the state or knew of any for sale. I've looked at clasified ads and online, just not sure who to trust.

It's fine I reckon. And one third smaller as an added bonus. I would not recommend my experience however for those seeking a nose job which otherwise would be denied by their insurance company as elective surgery.:D

I've looked at clasified ads and online, just not sure who to trust.We got our shepherd-Sir Brandon Joshua Braveheart(Bubba) from a breeder in Jones.I can't recall his name(Bubba is almost 7 now) but they ran ads in the DOK all the time,that is how we found them.

We recently picked up a 5 year old female from a shelter about an hour south of Dallas. They lost their funding and had to place 165 dogs in a short period of time. She has some issues with her ears and is already 5, but we are happy we did it.
