Well, why automatically just pencil in losses for Mountain West teams? MWC is now 12-4 over the last three years in bowl games (and counting), yet nationwide "conventional wisdom" is to pick against them.

Addressing this problem would dramatically raise your bowl pick winning percentage. Hint: pick Air Force over Houston, and TCU over Boise St. . . . :)

Remind me ~ Never bet agains't Utah in a Bowl game - I'm soon to be 0 and 5 in my Bowl Picks (At least I'm running 100% ~~ :)

Utah 9 and 0 in Bowl Wins -- Nice...!!!!

I don't see why the announcers wrote Cal off so easily. One two-point conversion and Cal is back in it. Weird.

This game gives a hint of how we should go after Stanford. Stanford could not cover the Cal receivers - not even close. Utah didn't have that much trouble covering even though they mostly stacked the line against the run. We need to pass and pass and pass some more. Then throw in a few delay running plays when they are gassed from pass rushing. We need Broyles to have a monster game with a good dose of Miller and DM out of the backfield.

Not good for the Pac-10 so far.

Hope it's a trend!

crap.....I'm 0-5 in my bowl pool as well......I filled it out in about two minutes though, while I was talking to my daughter and a couple of her friends...why couldn't the mojo have worked the other way?

I had this one as well. Thank you Rutgers and Utah for my only two wins so far!

I think it's funny that Pac 10 is looking really bad so early in the bowl season. OU must do their part to keep this trend going :D

I want to know why the announcers make it sound like it was an upset...I mean seriously, ranked Utah beat unranked Cal. Last I checked, that's is exactly what should happen.

Didn't we see the same thing when we played Boise St.? To hear the sports world tell it, we got beat by a team that even didn't even belong on the same field with us. Of course, these same media pundits gave Boise St. a high ranking before the game.

Cal folds the tent at the first sign of resistance. They scored 3 points on both USC and Oregon - the same teams on which Stanford hung half a hundred. That Cal beat Stanford shows the power of rivalries and match-ups.

I wish the playoff system was in place. I would like to see how far these schools could really go?

Did you notice that Kevin Wilson was calling some plays for Cal?

Yeah, the play where the QB overthrew his open receiver for what would have been a first down. That darn KW!!!
