Bowl wins:
OU: 4 (Holiday, Rose, Cotton, Orange)
OSU: 3 (Insight, Independence, Houston)

Bowl wins in bowls that aren't crappy:
OU: 4
OSU: 0

:D History shows that as soon as OSU goes to a bowl that is Holiday or better this decade, they suddenly become impossible to win.

Texas has had 10 wins each season since 2001... but yet only two conference titles and one nat'l title this decade. So... who did they lose to?

Non-conference: 5 (Stanford, Oregon (2000); Arkansas, Washington State (2003); Ohio State (2006)
Oklahoma: 6 (2000, 01, 02, 03, 04, 07)
Colorado: 1 (2001)
Tech: 2 (2002, 08)
A&M: 2 (2006, 07)
Kansas State: 2 (2006, 07)

Oklahoma had a streak of 12-win seasons going for awhile this decade... so who did we lose to?

Non-conference: 10 (LSU (2003); USC (2004); TCU, UCLA (2005); Oregon, Boise State (2006); West Virginia (2007); Florida (2008); BYU, Miami (2009)
Nebraska: 2 (2001, 08)
Oklahoma State: 2 (2001, 02)
A&M: 1 (2002)
Kansas State: 1 (2003)
Texas: 4 (2005, 06, 08, 09)
Tech: 3 (2005, 07, 09)
Colorado: 1 (2007)

As you can see, we each have a nemesis... we happen to Texas' and our non-conference opponents are definitely ours.

Its easy to win 10 games a year when you schedule 3 or 4 creampuffs, Stoops and Joe C dont agree with that philosophy as it gets you left out of national title games, just ask texas

I would buy into that, except for the fact that most of Texas' non-conference losses are during the season. The only non-conference postseason loss was to the Applie Aggies (Wazzu).

Half of our non-conference losses were postseason losses, and if we lose to Stanford, most of our non-conference losses will be during the postseason.

And Texas played what were probably the two hardest regular-season non-conference games of the decade, @tOSU and tOSU.

So you should give them a cookie for playing two games when the rest of their OOC schedule looks like something they picked up off of Austin Community College football schedule?

Do you want to compare the opponents?

They have 2 BCS wins over Big 10 schools. (Michigan and Ohio State) Both extremely overrated and annually exposed.

A bunch of minor bowl wins. Iowa, Arizona State, etc.

And ONE great bowl win over a good team, USC, albeit a considerably weaker USC team than the 04 version.

Tey haven't even played one team as good as 3 of our losses; 08 Florida, 04 USC, 03 LSU. I guess 05 USC and 03 LSU would be arguable, but defense/SEC usually wins out.

We also played #5 Oregon and #2 FSU. We played 2 top ten teams in our Fiesta losses.

Translation... Texas has won, but the competition isn't even CLOSE!

Wondering if they have any games like this scheduled for the future?

I agree that our schedule has been harder in bowl games, but if they go 4-0 in BCS games and win a 2nd National Title they slip past us for the better decade award.

yep

right now its still USC in my opinion
