Wish the Big 10 would just take our Texas teams and forget about the rest of our conference.

I wish well in their new endeavor. See what they think when they split the pot Michigan, OSU, Penn State, Illinois. Hope they're ready and can afford to add some new seats to their stadium. Can they fill them?

Won't happen. The Big 10 (11) will go after a big east-coast market team (read, big TV market, big money), they will snag someone out of the Big East like Rutgers or Syracuse.

I'm really wondering how they think moving to the Big Televen will help their recruiting efforts. Mizzou has done some good stuff pulling some talent out of Texas, but I think trying to maintain that after a move to a different conference would be a little difficult. Ultimately, Mizzou would be a bottom feeder in the Big 10, IMO.

And the televen already has about 9 bottom feeders as it is!

Agreed. I'm tired of hearing about this every few years.

Let them go be another Purdue, if not worse.

I'd rather not go to the Big 10.

Mizzou and Iowa State make the most sense.

It was Lt. Gov. Bob Bullock not Ann Richards that was most responsible, but he's equally dead so...yes, you're still right.

I am sure the mighty tigers will have as much success against the likes of Ohio State, Penn State and even Wisconsin as they have had against OU and sa*et.

I heard on the radio that ever since the Big East lost Miami, Va Tech, and whoever else (BC?), they have implemented a new rule in the Big East....leaving the conference costs your school $10 mill. Not sure if it's true or what, but that might help the Big East keep their schools.

Their Gov did NOT say he supported them going to the Big 10.

He said he thought they should CONSIDER the Big 10, and then followed that up with "We'd like to get more money from the Big XII."

Can anyone see what he's trying to do?

...use threats of leaving the league to get more money.

Tis a shame that he doesn't know that Missouri is down around 10th on the list of schools the Big 10 is looking at. They're the Ty Willingham of Big 10 expansion choices.

Arkansas found out it was harder to recruit Texas after leaving the SWC. They can still pull some players out of the state but not near what they used to. Mizzou would go back to getting only a few a year like they did back in the Big 8 days.

It would be bad to lose a cupcake like Missouri IMO.

The Mizzou guv doesn't have any problems raking in tax dollars when the Big XII has a CCG or Basketball tournament in Kansas City Missouri, and now he wants to talk this noise? I'd be happy if the conference never made me set foot in cold-*** KC again to watch the Sooners.

If they can land that deal,m they should bolt. Twice as much money, every league game on TV, it's a no brainer.
