Tulsa has finished in the top 25 TEN times; OSU nine.

Highest finish ever for Tulsa was 4th; OSU 5th twice.

All Time Record: TU (565-445-27); OSU (509-518-48)

OSU leads the series 38-27 all time but clearly it's obvious why the Pokies are the little brother of the state. Tulsa is the middle brother!

That is awesome! I love the fact that a private school in "their territory" has a better program than OSUcks does! Made my day!

haha that's awesome!

It's just weird when you think about it. They really should NOT be that bad. What is it? Those of your with insight, please discuss.

aggy will never win championships because that's not what they care about. They care about beating OU. And that's why even an undersized, underfunded Tulsa program can outperform it, because THEY want to win championships. Period.

Most of my poke family would overlook those statistics and point to OSU being somehow "better". Kind of a "we'll get it done NEXT year" mentality.

In the spirit of fairness, I will point out that both aggy and Tulsa lost at home to Houston and were shut out in Norman this year. So aggy, congratulations. You're just as good as 5-7 Tulsa this year.

Yes, and that's why Tulsa is the best school in the state academically.

Now, to make it germane to the conversation at hand, post the athletic departments' budgets.

It's funny when there's all this Big Ten expanding-the-conference talk that I've heard a lot of trash talk about OSU's academics :D

Them and KSU definitely get the most academic smack talk when the conversation turns to the Big 12.

So... OU is the big brother school. OSU is the little brother. Tulsa is the sister that keeps her brothers in line so they don't kill each other (mostly protecting OSU from OU, haha) and gets into a private, academic school because she studied a lot while her brothers were out playing sports :stunned:

How long has OSU been playing in a legit conference versus Tulsa... ummm... not?

Hate to give anything orange credit, but consider strongly the competition. It (easy wins) adds up after a few decades of lesser opposition. IOW... OU, TX, Nebbish, TT, Mizzou, etc. >>>>>>>> Rice, SMU, UAB, Fresno St. etc.

Ask aggy if C-USA isn't "legit". I think Houston just scored again.

They just scored on Mike Leach again, too.

Ooh, face...

Glad we put Tech in their place this year... oh, wait...

Just more proof that they don't care about winning, IMO. Just put them in the conference with us so they can hope to win one out of 20 against us and they're happy.

I like to bash 'em as much as anybody else here, just sayin'...

I don't necessarily know that Boise or TCU is undefeated with this year's OU schedule.

bri

Boise's in the WAC, TCU the Mountain West. What do either of them have to do with Tulsa?

bri

And since BYU is also in the Mountain West, we already know that OU wouldn't have gone undefeated with TCU's schedule.

Actually, I think if they're not the first game in the season we could have beaten them. But it was an away game for TCU...

So if we stop caring so much about beating OU (where we've clearly just absolutely dominated the series) and instead focus on championships, we'll have one by ... 2054?

BTW, TU sucks. And so do all their OU-luvin' fans. ;)

We're talking about FOOTBALL championships. btw, congrats on your 49th non-football national championship. T. Boonester didn't even need to build Cross Country an expanded stadium for them to earn theirs.

This is the football board, OSUAggie, where we all know that you will be stuck at your "Sweet 16" as long as Gundy is coach.

16 is such a round number... why win more? :D

OSUAggie's a good guy...he took his farks well (has anyone ever had more farks done to them?).

Plus, I like his optimistic, "can-do" attitude about OSU football.

2054? You may be pushing it. ;)

Oh yes, I have good fun with OSUAggie. We have had a-many avvie bets... I usually win, because they aren't about wrestling or the number of non-football national titles ;)
