The all-decade team's OL is garbage. Hutchinson should be too old to qualify. Duke doesn't belong. Eslinger MASSIVELY overrated.

Ugh, I thought we'd be 2nd to * vs. the condoms

Last year's * vs sand aggy game had a good finish but most of that game sucked donkey balls. It was a first half of the whorns getting their asses kicked. ... nm, maybe that's why SI liked it. :D

How the **** does TRRW get beat out?

I'm glad Teblow got one more accolade even though Leinart should have gotten the nod over him. Jeez, I hate both of those guys.

Do you think creator of that list likes shootouts? Geez! About 9 out of the 10 were 40-something games. Defense can be cool too.

Just once, I'd like for OU to be on the WINNING side of a Game of the Century or Decade or Whatever.

urgh.

I'd take that 2001 Miami team over just about any other team ever assembled except for the '95 Huskers.

I'd take 1986, I think we've had this discussion before, over anyone.

yah, i guess they are doing Tackles and Guards separate

I'd just a Center, and the best 4 Oline

IMHO, and im 28, I would take 95 Nebraska 1 and 2001 Miami a close 2. 95 Neb beat every ranked team they played by an avg of 21pts I believe, or something close

u gotta draw the line somewhere tho.. they didn't even win the title that year right?

I think what we talked about was the most talented team...not necessarily the best one...Cause I'm with you... But that 95 huskers team was probably the best team

Nope, they dominated Penn State physically, but had 5 or 6 turnovers and lost the Fiesta. I'd still take that group, in one game, over anyone else. 95 Nebraska, 01 Miami, 04 USC, would be in the discussion.

I'd take the 03 Sooner team over a bunch.. if healthy, and i knew they would be at the top of their game! :D

95 Neb had Frazier, Ahman Green, and Lawrence Phillips in the backfield, they set an NCAA record avg 7.0 yds per carry. They won the so called natl title game by 38 pts. Their smallest margin of victory all yr was 14 pts, they beat 4 teams that finished in the Top 10 by an avg of 49-18, they allowed 12 punt return yds all year, they had 33 guys play in the NFL or CFL, they were The Best Ever!

Love, love, love the respect for Derrick Strait on there. Was mad about the Oregon debacle not being a part of the Low-Lights

I'm glad they included Fitzgerald in the mix for all-decade team. Watching him live from the sidelines a couple of times was special. Same with Crabtree. Nice to see us represented well. I realize they have to spread the wealth a little... so I'm ok with their selections.

Lindys had

Tommie, Calmus, D Strait, Roy Williams all on first team defense

Teddy 2nd team

didnt Tommie get hurt one year? what was the time line of Nebraska and their titles in the mid 90s?

1994, I think he missed about 2/3s of the season. Brook Berringer (sp?) took over, and performed admirably, but with that OL it wasn't too tough. He died a couple years later in a small airplane accident. I think they even split time in the Orange Bowl, against Miami. But Frazier eventually took over.

Me too. I'd take their "A" game over 2000.

It would be hard for me to leave Calmus off the team also.

I think a case could be made for seven Sooners on the all-decade team...

LB Calmus
DB Williams
DB Strait
DL Harris
QB Bradford (hell, his stats are the best ever)
RB Peterson
OL Brown

Obviously you couldn't have all those guys, but I think all could be worthy.

Looked more like they were featuring Nebraska.

Don't hold your breath for SI to be on OU's side too many times.
