I'd rather see Sam get drafted a little further down but to a better team.

 5-0

RE: Jimmy Clausen

Improved through adversity, has under-center experience.

Yeah, I would hope so.

Let's just ignore Gerald McCoy. :)

Oakland should take Clausen, they're pretty used to dealing with failure.
Just sayin' ........... ;)

McShay was on ESPN last night and went through some of his Tops in his Mock Draft.

Had Suh at 1 going to the Rams, had McCoy at 4 going to the Lions (oh noes), and Sam to the Redskins at 7, which I think would be a great place for him to end up even though I hate the Redskins. Snyder's not afraid to spend money to better the team.

McShay also mention that he isn't as high on Claussen as others are. Said some of his throws were lucky and just great plays on the ball by his WRs.

he's not going to have Golden Taint and college corners to throw rainbows to

Kiper is an idiot. If Sam goes high in the draft, good for Sam.

Kiper will still be an idiot.

Kiper, bless him, will routinely project more than 32 players to be drafted in the first round, then call anyone drafted No. 33 or after a "steal." Bawwwww

When's the last time you saw two OU players in the Top 5 of anyone's list? I'm surprised Gresh isn't 5th and Claussen further down the list.

Kiper is not an idiot. He has one of the best jobs in the world and we're all envious.

any chance Mallett comes out? Very Tom Brady like....

He is a Sophomore, but sat out a year transferring from Michigan.. so i assume he is eligible

I'm sure he will go back tho..... is Mike Vick the only RS Sophomore QB to enter the NFL draft?

Several sophomores have entered the draft. Jermichael Finley, Larry Fitzgerald, and wasn't Crabtree a soph last year?

jlew- I thing AZ's Larry Fitz, the guy who was Jason White's strongest competitor for the Heisman, was also a sophomore-like player, I think. The NFL commish allowed him to be eligible for the draft because Larry took some type of correspondence course or something outside of high school... but I am not sure.

I usually do not criticize commentators, since you boys do such a good job of it yourselves, but Mel Kiper absolutely cannot predict a draft to save his life. Look at his most recent projections to see what I'm talking about. He "big board" is silly. Teams probably listen to what Mel tells them they should do for laughs.

Am I jealous? No, because the draft gets boring after the first few rounds and I don't envy having to sit through that crap. However, Mel really sucks.

yeh, and they were failures. Todd Marinovich? Then that kid that came out of UCLA and was a flop at first, but then had a decent season for the Steelers. Can't remember his name.

i think he's referring to the fact that QBs really need more experience than other players to get drafted ;)

and the draft is a crap shoot. i mean all he can really do is guess ratings, but who knows what a team is doing in the background about their needs and what their actual draft needs are

Tommy Maddox and Todd M

Bingo. Maddox was the UCLA guy that went to Denver when Reeves/Elway were not getting along and was a flop. He was resurrected for a season in Pittsburgh, then got hurt.
