Could probably throw Lance Armstrong into the mix, even though he won his first Tour De France in 1999.

Also probably have to look at what Michael Phelps did, even though it was just all really in one year. His run in the olympics was one for the century.

Tiger or Federer would be worthy candidates though. They both dominated their sport for much of the past decade. I'd probably have to give it to Tiger though as he is a bigger name than Federer, and Tiger is much more likely to have continued success over the next decade whereas Federer is beginning to decline somewhat from being the all around No. 1 player.

So I'd probably rank them:

1. Tiger
2. Federer
3. Lance

It should've been Federer.

i think i can agree with that

give me "Major/Grand slam" ratio of the 2

i bet Fed would be favored

from 2003-2009 Fed has won 15 Grand Slams... (4 grand slams a year in tennis, 4 in golf too)

Tiger has won 12 "Majors" this decade... 2000-09

note: Fed won his first grand slam in 2003

Riding on a bike doesn't count as an athlete. Just had to throw that out there.

And playing golf does?

Golf is a game, not a sport, IMO.

I agree.

I am not saying it doesn't take huge amouts of skill, because its obviously it does. But when we about being athletic, I don't think swinging a club makes you extremely athletic.
