Along with Zac Robinson and Perrish Cox from OSU and Brandon Carter from Texas Tech...

Most of the guys in this game will not be 1st or 2nd round picks...What it means though is that scouts are wanting to know more about this particular player and watch him workout for a possible 2nd day or UDFA signing....

In another thread we had talked about Syd'Quan Thompson from Cal as being a short corner ala Hurst that scouts love...Well it appears right now that the true scouts don't love him as much as some of the web guys think...

If any of the players for this game get invitations from the Senior Bowl, they will abandon this game and breathe a sigh of relief...

Good news is that if your NFL team needs a pass rushing DE, with Jerry Hughes from TCU on the roster, it appears he may slide down to be a value pick in the 2nd or 3rd...

That is all

There have been plenty of first round picks that have played in the senior bowl. Obiously guys like eric berry and jimmy clausen and the likes of them will not play, but joe flaco, chris johnson, and patrick willis, to name a few, all played in the senior bowl and were drafted in the first round.

Yes I know, thats why these guys will bolt for the Senior Bowl if they make that roster... THIS IS THE EAST WEST SHRINE GAME

SENIOR BOWL invitations that have already been accepted...This game should be quite interesting..Some who have already accepted

Trent Williams
Ndamukong Suh
Sergio Kindle

Also Jerry Hughes and Perrish Cox received invites, so they will likely be removing themselves from the Shrine game.

How is Auston's ankle coming along? I thought he was going to miss the combine? If so, how will he even be ready for this game?

MOBILE, Ala. -- A pair of Sooner seniors will be representing the University of Oklahoma later this month in the 2010 Under Armour Senior Bowl.

Offensive tackle Trent Williams and running back Chris Brown have both accepted invitations to the 2010 game, officials announced today. Kickoff for the January 30th event is scheduled for 3 p.m. (CT) and the game and all practices will be televised by the NFL Network.

Oklahoma has supplied 97 players for the Senior Bowl since the game's inception in 1950.

Williams was named a first team All-American by the AFCA, AP and Walter Camp Football Foundation in 2009. The 6-5, 318 pound left tackle was also a first team All-Big 12 selection and honorable mention Big 12 Offensive Lineman of the Year. He made 37 starts over his career and led the Sooners with 97 knockdowns his senior season.

Brown was a Big 12 honorable mention selection by the league's coaches this season. The Alexandria, Louisiana native rushed for 749 yards and seven touchdowns in 2009 and added another 131 receiving yards and a score. He ranks fourth on the school's all-time list with 45 career touchdowns and 42 rushing touchdowns.

Brown is also tenth in Oklahoma history with 2,877 rushing yards and fifth with 615 rushing attempts. Brown's biggest year came in 2008 when he became just the 20th player in school history to break 1,000 yards in a season (1,220).

"Trent and Chris are both outstanding football players and we are excited to add them to our North roster," Senior Bowl President and CEO Steve Hale said. "We are confident that they will both do a fine job of representing the University of Oklahoma."

Tickets for the 2010 Under Armour Senior Bowl are currently available for purchase at the Senior Bowl ticket offices (151 Dauphin Street and inside Bel Air Mall), select Regions Bank locations, all area Food For Less locations, online at SeniorBowl.com or by calling (251) 432-4109.

kinda strange that suh is playing in the senior bowl, you would think he wouldn't want to risk injury since he is probably going to be the #1 pick. pretty cool though, i'll be watching

Did you see his answer about continuing to play in the bowl game even though it was a blowout?

I think he just loves to play and feels it's God that decides his fate as far as injuries go.

Auston is still too banged up to play I think. I think he still intends to give the NFL a shot.

Look out for the Hardesty kid from TN. I don't know if anyone has seen him play but he is definitely an NFL back. Great size.
