View Full Version : Why can't I find a 3" round OU sticker?

I'm looking for an OU sticker for my dad. Just a 3" circle--one of the red ones with just a white OU logo on it. There are 4.5" ones all over the damn place, but i need a 3" one. My dad has one over the Mercury logo on the back of his car and it's peeling off because it's old. I'm trying to find a replacement. Why the hell does nobody sell one 3" across??

I can't seem to find any either... How odd. Why are the 4.5" ones bad?

Just put the 4.5 in a copier or scanner and copy/scan at about 70%

problem solved! :pop:

because it's an inch and a half bigger than the mercury logo on the back of my dad's car.

What kind of car is it?

I know this sounds stupid, but can you trim it? I mean, if all of the OU is left, then you're not missing anything, right?

I was expecting the obligatory Mercury response.

Prolly could've been a 4.5" Mercedes logo if y'all would get out of school already. :D

Why don't you just get some paint and paint an OU on it.

Make a stencil and airbrush it on there.

I have one...what's it worth to you, PG? :D

Just kidding; you wouldn't want it. It has a Christmas tree hook in it so it can hang off the little tree on my desk. I got mine from the recruiters who visited for College Night down here; maybe you can check with the student recruiting office?

Am I missing something here?
If a 3" sticker wil cover the logo, won't a 4.5" sticker to the job?
Either way, you might want to check next to the Boomer Sooner ringtones. :D

It's a raised medallion sort of logo, so a 4.5" sticker would hang over 3/4" all the way around. That doesn't look nearly as slick as looking like you have a custom 3" OU medallion on the back of your car. ;)

Do like I did for my wife's car and have one engraved at any trophy shop. Hers is close to 4 years old and still looks great. Of course hers is square...and replaces the Saturn logo instead...and is a pentagram with "pagan" written in the Saturn font, but yeah...same dealio.
