i didn't learn of college football really until the '87 season. i was 11 and the Orange Bowl was PPV :mad:

i just remember hearing that we lost

i kinda lost track after that and didn't see a bowl game until the 2001 Orange Bowl

the next year i actually started going to games, went to the Cotton Bowl, didn't go to the Rose Bowl (dammit) but i've been to every bowl game since...

so 2 on TV, and 7 in person, soon to be 8

The first OU game I ever watched on TV was the 2001 Orange Bowl (I lived in Wisconsin).

You know the Rose Bowl is on my wish list of one of the things I want to do in this lifetime. It should be pretty easy for me since pass through either SF or LA at that time each year. This year, I was fuly prepared to stop by and see the Sooners play for it all. Now that team from Austin is there and I don't care. I will wait another four years and maybe the right team will there.

I went out and bought my first color tv on December 31. The first thing I watched was the Sooners play the Michigan Wolverines at the Orange Bowl.

For a couple of decades there, I attended every potential NC game. If I hadn't married a European who knows nothing/cares nothing for football, maybe my streak would have continued.

Seen allof them since Orange Bowl vs. Bama in '63. Just before the game they announced that Sen. Robert S. Kerr had died. During the game Alabama LB Lee Roy Jordan had 17 unassisted tackles and something like 27 overall.

Went to the second '72 Sugar Bowl. OU beat Penn State. 16 0z draft beer delivered to your seat for 50 cents. I don't remember the score.
