OK. last night at a Christmas party I was talking with two guys about football and recuiting, one is the dad of a former KU football player and one a Nebraska fan. We were talking about KU, Gill and recuiting. I said that KU has a huge problem because they dont have a recuiting base because Kansas does not produce enough FBS (the old D1) players to build a foundation of your football program. I said and when we (kansas) do produce outstanding players they go out of state, a lot of them to OU like this year. I said you need to consistantly have 8-12 kids every year that you get with a phone call and a offer. Then you work a little on the next 8-12 kids so you end up spending most of your time recuiting 4-10 kids hard. These two look at me and say, do you think you know what your talking about? I said yes, I've been an OU fan for almost 40 years since I was 10 and we understand how to build a program, that recuiting is the foundation of any program and always has been.

Am I the only one who thinks this way about recuiting?
