We forget sometimes that these guys are human just like us, and no doubt get a little down when things turn out so differently than they expected. I really hope everything turns out well for him. Go get 'em Sammy!

Great, gritty competitor that I will always admire for coming back for his senior year, when the easy thing to do was just forgo it and cash in his chips in exchange for lifelong financial security. It says something about his character and the love he has for your program...

Thanks. And you're right about Sammy, his character and his love for OU. Just a small correction, though - he came back for his Junior year this year. Sam, like Tebow and now Ingram, was a Sophomore when he earned his Heisman.

God bless Sam B. We of the Sooner Nation wish him all God's blessings and true, lifelong success in everything he does.

Bradford said his rehab is going well, and he's on schedule to be physically ready to participate in Oklahoma's Pro Day in 2010. A high draft spot and lucrative contract would help mitigate the physical and emotional pain of this year.

If this season did anything for Bradford, it at least sharpened his appreciation for what he accomplished last year. He will undoubtedly feel some sting watching fellow '08 Heisman finalists Tim Tebow and Colt McCoy return to Manhattan for the award show Saturday night (ESPN, 8 ET). But he'll also feel appreciation for what nobody can ever take away -- his own Heisman.

I don't know if it is in another thread here but I wonder why Bradford and also Steve Owens were not at the Heisman awards on Saturday night?

Past winners seem about 50/50.

Did he give us a "BOOMER!"?

Oh yeah. A piece of paper with "BOOMER!" written on it. It was great.
