It didn't work that well for Leinart.

I was actually hoping Gerhart would get it... the curse of the Heisman and all.

Oh well... no excuses on Dec 31.

It took 75 yrs, but by golly we finally got us a heisman winner, courtesy of Mark.

Hopefully, now we can accomplish another 'first' by beating Texas on Jan. 7--with Mark's help. If he helps us do that, we'll probably build a statue of gold in his honor...:D

I thought Gerhart or Suh deserved it but Ingram beats the F out of Forrest Gump or the preacher getting it.

yep horns have little argument, considering Colt finished 3rd not second.

Suh really hurt him in their region as well

would you rather have ingram win heisman and texas win title or mccoy win heisman and bama win title...if those were the choices...id like bama to win both...

Colt didn't even win this region...

Colt didn't even win this region...

Anybody remember during the Big XII Championship? TX is down. Colt is driving the team for what could be the game winning score.

Gary Daniels (isn't that who he was?) is running his mouth, "Talk about a Heisman moment! Colt McCoy is driving this team to win the game, blah blah blah." Musberger cuts him off and says, "Well, now, he has to finish it off first."

Then Colt throws a pick. Scoring threat over.

Course TX did win the game, but the enduring image of that scoring drive was Colt almost blowing their chance to kick a field goal. That's kind of a "Non-Heisman Moment."

Suh winning heisman, and FU winning NC would have been my preference, given the candidates for both awards.

I get the Suh for Heisman, but why the hell would anybody want Florida to win 3 out 4 MNCs? Plus add to the Tebow lore? I would have puked if the gators won it again. I would pull for Bama over either of those other 2 for the MNC. Florida was getting close to '05 USC territory in terms of how much they sicken me. Texas needs no explanation.

From the Whipping-a-Dead-Horse Department:

The Associated Press article about the Heisman ceremony noted that Alabama's 6 AP championships are one less than OU and Notre Dame, each with 7.
