It's interesting, I was thinking about Billy the other day. I had compiled my faves of the 90's in a playlist and SP songs were as numerous as most others. The crazy thing is that they managed it with only 3 albums and one song off of Pisces Iscariot (Frail and Bedazzled , of course). I know there are a lot of peeps that don't like their sound, but to me, they were a sick hit factory back in the 1992-1995 days. I kept wondering to myself, "Did he scare everyone off with his emo -like attitude? or did he just dry up.?" I say this thinking that he had some decent stuff off later albums, but holy ****, that band rocked.

Back to the subject WTF? Is this really true?

I thought there were a couple of great cuts on Zeitgeist, but popular music has just moved past his sound, I think...

You obviously don't remember Julia Roberts (in her prime) getting married to Lyle Lovett.

Edit: I only read the first post before seeing this mentioned later on.

THIS. You know what? The Smashing Pumpkins are probably the best band I could never stand to listen to, because Billy Corgan can't ****ing sing. His voice makes me want to stab my eardrums out.
