Adrian Taylor has announced his return next season as well. Smart moves on both their parts...

Great to see them come back... will be nice to have experience in the secondary. Franks is good, Carter is a hard hitter and Nelson is quickly becoming our guy at safety for INTs.

Linebackers will be solid and Taylor coming back will help solidify the line again with Alexander and Washington.

The two questions... will Beal come back? And what about Lewis?

I think that with the rookie salary cap coming, a lot of juniors will be bolting.

STEP thinks that Beal and Lewis need to comeback based on draft projections, who knows who they will listen to though

I thought Beal and Lewis already said they were staying. Pretty sure of it actually.

As things stand now, Lewis is a first round of cuts kind of player in terms of the NFL.

Good call, he needed to come back.

Well from what I hear he would be a 3rd-5th rder, the NFL loves his speed

I don't know what it is, but quite a few times like travis...honestly, they haven't mentioned him in a while, but some teams think they can develop him into a pretty good player...

I would like to Beal's 40 time, but he translates into an OLB unless he can carry more weight...

Lewis may be like Rufus Alexander...Every year he played, the NFL love for him diminished

Didn't have the frame to play inside the box.

Is there any way you guys think we could sneak Jackson in next year too?

I'll be sad to see him go...

Exactly..Rufus struggled to shed blocks, but at least he tried

Rufus and Everage are the only two guys since Stoops has been here who I remember knocking out someone cold, Everage against Air Force I think and Rufus against Tulsa, Kstate, one of them?

Yep, Tulsa.

Carter knocked Maclin silly in last year's CCG.

Jello Biafra

Yep, Tulsa.

there are several ways to make effective tackles. i prefer sure tackling to the knock out method. it makes the carriers just as nervous to make sure they get up feild as soon as possible often leading to them thinking about turning up field before the have actually caught the ball. the knock out is a good intimidator but looking for this hit often leads to a bunch of missed tackles too.

But it sure is fun to watch, I would take a healthy Brandon Everage any day of the week. Other teams were scared to go over the middle against us then, I feel like QC has finally instilled some of that old fear again after several yrs of it not being there

I'd say Nelson has been more of a deterrent recently. He's been awesome...

To see maybe a third-string corner at best come out and start at FS like 8 games into the season was a nice surprise.

Brandon Everage was fun to watch. He would just throw his body at the ball carrier. Though I remember many times he would just fly right by the carrier too.

Guess he knows you used to be obsessed with him. Maybe he feels bad you dropped him and he's still trying to win you back?
