that Venebles may be in some trouble. Its being reported by the local radio that the the Big XII is looking into allegations that he went to nebraska last week to assist Pelini in prepping for Texas.

Anyone else heard anything regarding this?

It's not just that their offense is still run by Greg Davis? It's not that their WRs can't get out of single coverage when Shipley isn't free? It's not that their OL is horribly overrated and Colt gets scared when people hit him? It's not that they're completely one-dimensional and can't even throw down field that much?

Surely the other, 9-3 team, cheated by consorting with the 7-5 team that shut their offense down. That must be it.

If you read SF.com enough, you'd swear that BV talking to Pelini is doing the horns a big favor.

A private jet belonging to a prominent University of Alabama booster was spotted on the tarmac at Will Rogers World Airport this morning. A black limosine was seen leaving the airport and headed south shortly afterwards. About a half an hour later, credible witnesses reported that a black limosine, similar to the one in the earlier report, was parked outside the Switzer Center . . .

Don't coaches do this **** all the time?

Didn't Saban's crew come down to OU the year they beat us? Didn't Mike Stoops help out with our D for the Holiday Bowl? Didn't Bob call up his buddy at USF to get a scouting report on WV? Didn't Urban give Utah a scouting report on Alabama? And, didn't Stoops and Saban meet this off season?

I guess the only problem I can see is if Brent was paid by the corn eaters for helping.

I heard this from a not credible person on Fb last Saturday. If it's true, BFD. Brent/Bob and Bo are all friends. I'm sure UTerus' feelings are hurt since no one is calling up to give them advice. This is because no one wants them to win (for those whorns that are too dense to get the previous sentence).

"He" held Texas to 16 pts? I'm gonna say McCoy and Beal and gang had more to do with it.

BV may have produced a top 10 D, but then again he probably had top 5 talent.

You are starting to sound like a senile old man, that doesnt even make sense Curly, no shiz the players made the plays but who do you think coaches them. You cant criticize him when the D plays bad but give all the credit to the players when they play lights out all yr.

As a matter of fact I remember at the beginning of the yr I asked you what you would need to see in order to give BV credit and you said I want to see the D play well all year, not just for 4 or 5 games...well?

Hey, he had a good year and for that I give him credit...

...but I'm gonna hold the past seasons and the various defensive meltdowns against him, deal?

...and by saying McCoy and Beal and company had more to do with it, all I was really saying is that I think in many cases our talent on defense is able to overcome what are often poor schemes, and poor in-game adjustments on his part.

I don't know what the exact rules are. But I do recall something about Pete Carrol being investigated a year or two ago because he had a guy consulting him on what he was seeing. Maybe the difference was he may have been paid as a consultant which would equate to having an extra coach on staff.

I think they all know that Texas lost that game, and they are looking for any excuses they can find.
