Don't get me wrong, I love my sooners and will go see them play anywhere. But this seems like a trap game that they won't be excited to even play in,especially when our team finds out that thier gifts are the Official Sun bowl watch, New leather boots, and tote bag with sun bowl logo. All this on top of the ****ty location, our players will be bummed. Sucks when you are used to getting PS3's and video cameras to use while on the beach.

As a fan though, how can I blame them. El Paso sucks

I think this will be one of the more interesting match-ups of the minor bowls. Heck, of all the bowls. Chance for Landry to shine.

You get what you deserve, and we deserve the Sun Bowl. Also, we have no reason to overlook any team considering what we put on the field this year.

ya el paso is definitely not the greatest place on earth, the altitude kills, the air is polluted like crazy, and theres nothing to do.

Yeah, right.

More like...

Oklahoma nervously comes out of the tunnel, with Stoops turning pale. OU fumbles the kickoff and Stanford scores. After a round of illegal procedure penalties, fumbles, and interceptions, Stanford is up 21-0 after Gerhart rumbles for 120 yards on 7 carries. OU finally settles down in the second half and makes a decent game of it. OU fans blame KW and BV.

Sound familiar?

Hmmmm, 600ish mile drive from Denver.....flights are, meh, not great but not expensive..........I'll debate whether or not to make the trip for this one over the next week or so.

I'd be more interested in coming to a watch party in Norman than actually going to El Paso for the game!

Just got me some tickets; I'm going! I can't wait - for a while there during the season I was afraid we wouldn't go bowling at all. Should be a good football game, and you know, I'll just be happy with a postseason win even in if it isn't a great bowl.

not really sure how this would be trap game...a trap game is when on paper, your better than your opponent....

on a bright note we should be ok as long as Stanford doesn't discover a pass defense in the next 3 weeks.

wow.. the fact that you believe that certain women have an aroma approximating the scent of toro, tells us more about your choice in bed partners don't you think?

By the way.. toro (which is from the belly area of the tuna.. and is the most choice, tasty part of the fish) is very clean and has no discernable aroma. It is quite the delicacy. I recommend it highly.. BUT.. ease off on the wasabi and soy.

Nonetheless, and again... you have even more pity now. My most sincere condolences on the obvious and unfortunate poor choices in women with whom you consort.

i spent a week in el paso one night.

we will beat Stanford's pass D all day long. without Andrew Luck, their O will not be able to spread us out and unless Gerhart goes for 200+, I don't see anyway we could get blown out in a bowl game. Finally.

This game may turn out like that infamous Michigan State - Penn basketball game from the 1979 Final Four.

(Yes... Penn actually made it to a Final Four).

Magic Johnson was leading Michigan State to their anticipated showdown with the Larry Bird led Indiana State team.. But, first, they had to get past the mighty Quakers of Penn.

yes... Penn.

Well of course, Sparty was just crushing Penn.. smoking them.. it was ugly... Penn ended up losing by over 30 points...

Well... purportedly, as the second half was winding down... the Sparty fans are going nuts... a cheer is heard from the Penn section... it increases in intensity until it is clearly heard.. and for a brief moment, drowns out the Michigan State supporters...

it went something like...

That's alright...
That's ok...

You're gonna work for us someday...

Rinse, repeat.

Don't know why that just popped into my head. :D
