Normally the play ends when the whistle blows, even though the guy knee was down or forward progress stopped or the ball dropped a second or two prior. They don't review it to find the exact moment to stop the clock on every other play. I hate it when they alter the usual way of things to add drama/give someone another chance on the last play of the game.

Nebraska's D is D I compared to Bama's. Oh, and Bama has an offense that can control the game in the air and on the ground.
