I once ate an entire bag of butterscotch popcorn when i was young. I was sick for at least an entire day afterward. Now, I can't be anywhere near any sort of flavored popcorn. And butterscotch candy is absolutely disgusting.

yeah, but butterscotch = butter + scotch in the same way that breadfruit = bread + fruit, which is NOT AT ALL.

Butterscotch and pecan ice cream works for me. The hard candy not so much.

I LOVE Butterscotch, what's wrong with you people?!?!??! Buttershots in hot chocolate is better than...a lot of things that aren't as good as buttershots in hot chocolate.

Yeah, we're FREEZING!!!!;) :D But, sposed to be back in the 70's tomorrow. I guess I can make it til then.

On a side note, my son has decided he's not gonna wear long pants anymore. He's worn shorts everyday to school, and when it's chilly he just throws on his OU hoodie. Love that kid!!!

I'm pretty pleased with this thread. It certainly isn't one of my longest or most epic, but I think it represents some real quality work on my part.

Butterscotch is toffee that is only taken to soft-crack stage instead of hard-crack.


Which, for you non-pervs out there, means that the ingredients are butter and brown sugar. And a little corn syrup. And some vanilla.

Scotch is not involved unless you're drinking it while you're cooking.
