Mark Mangino played cupcakes in 2007 and ate them all up :) But for KU, they may not be cupcakes but to us they were all cupcakes. But they did beat VT so his coach of the year consensus awards were legit.

IMO... Gary Patterson or Chip Kelly deserves the award more than Brown.

^^^ Right here! I might even throw in Dave Wanstatt at Pitt or Brian Kelly. :mack: getting this is like rewarding a genius for memorizing his ABCs.

No way would I give this to Brown. He'd probably be the last on my list coaching jobs on undefeated teams. I'd go with Patterson.

National COY? I would even put Pelini over Mack in Big 12 COY. Though he would have helped his caused to beat Iowa St.

He played a cupcake schedule, and had dogfights against his two biggest rivals, who were either injured or young (or both). Yep, that just SCREAMS CoY for me:rolleyes:
