Probably picking nits here - lots of other worthy topics to choose from, but this is one that just bugs me to no end.

ESPN does a GREAT job with their little status bar at the top of the telecast. With it, you know score, down and distance, quarter, time remaining in the quarter and play clock. They also have the little dots indicating the number of time outs each team has left in the half.

Fox can't seem to do that. CBS doesn't seem to do it consistently.

Why is this such a hard thing to do?

CBS just started doing it recently.

Yeah - noticed the little dots at the top, but honestly, how hard is it to provide all that little extra status stuff?

I actually like Fox's screen for it's simplicity. This is the first year we've had Fox in HD here and the first game I saw I thought my screen had suddenly gotten bigger. But it was just because there was less crap taking up space.

I would like them to add more stuff to their little bar, like timeouts, but I would like them to keep it really small like it is now.
