I was just looking round and ran across this fact concerning ND and oSu.Weis has been at ND for 5 years and is 36-26,meanwhile Gundy has been at Stoolwater for 5 years and likewise is 36-26.Weis is on his way out and THE 40 YEAR OLD MAN is hailed as the saviour of Neon Orange football.I guess that says something about the respective programs and fanbases.

Gundy:
2005 Oklahoma State 4–7 1–7
2006 Oklahoma State 7–6 3–5
2007 Oklahoma State 7–6 4–4
2008 Oklahoma State 9–4 5–3
2009 Oklahoma State 9–3 6–2
total 36-26

Weis:
2005 Notre Dame 9–3
2006 Notre Dame 10–3
2007 Notre Dame 3–9
2008 Notre Dame 7–6
2009 Notre Dame 6–6
total 35-27

Their overall records are similar, not exact as you stated. Notre Dame has a far better football tradition than OSU, nobody would argue that no matter what the coach's record is. But it is pretty obvious that Gundy has been improving with time and Weis has not. The overall records are similar. The similarities end there. Many OSU fans are happy that things are improving. But, I don't think Gundy has shown anything to be anointed "Savior" just yet.

So what the record shows is that Charlie won with Ty's players and is sucking it big time with his players
