At this point the only rankings that matter are next years preseason. We need to win our bowl game just for momentum and confidence sake.

Wouldn't you agree?

Is there still zero shot TCU can jump Texas? Besides, of course, Texas losing.

What if they play very poorly again vs. Nebraska?

There is that Dumb and Dumber one-in-a-million kind of chance :)

TCU can easily pass Texas in the computers. Unfortunately, the humans will never allow it...what with their prejudices and idiotic opinions.

The camera lights will shine brightly at the CCG games next weekend and will blind voters to other teams and players. It's just CFB life.

I agree about next yrs preseason but I would still like to end the yr in the rankings, even if only 25

^^ This. Let's end this season on the right winning note and then look ahead to next year with a stopover for a great national signing day. Oh yeah.

Why?

More than anything it is just for the respect point of it, a powerhouse like OU finishing outside of the top 25 even can be used against us. Id rather be ranked than not be

I'll say fair enough as well.

Did they play poorly or is that just who they are? Texas has not been overly impressive all season and benefited from a high preseason ranking and cupcake non-conf schedule.

I just wish TCU had a shot at the whorns. I would love to see Patterson get Mack between the white lines (no pun intended for the whiney orange).

Stomp all over Cal and end this nightmare season on a good note. Good for recruiting, good for spring ball.

Rankings... it will be a heck of a jump to 25 but do-able I suppose. And I agree... would be nice to look back and say we salvaged this season of injuries (with a fourth-string tight end playing right tackle and a walk-on third string kicker who never played football... ha!).

OSU is still ranked in the Top 25. It means nothing this year.

GO HUSKERS!!!

For TCU to climb above Texas, Texas has to lay an egg against Nebraska. With Helu healthy... and now Burkhead back from injury, this is a good possibility in getting past the new hole in the defensive scheme by Muschamp... although I suspect he's already making adjustments for this.

Rooting for the Huskers for the sake of TCU? I'm ok with that...
