Noon kick plus a trip to Juarez could spell doom for some around here :D

I'd recommend flying.

If you drive, take the family to Carlsbad Caverns. It's worth the detour.

USC vs. Nebraska in the Holiday Bowl would be a good game.

Juarez isn't very safe for Americans these days. I suppose not many areas are. I know it is off limits for the military stationed in El Paso. If you stay in Juarez you just might be staying in Juarez on a permanent basis dead or alive. What are the chances of playing in San Antonio?

Slim to none I imagine. Sand Aggie beat us head to head and has a better record.

Best will be back in time for the bowl game for Cal. Will have to start looking into their team to see how they match with ours...

first glance... our offenses match up pretty well. But I'd favor our defense heavily against theirs.

Looking good to me! Game on!

In all seriousness, be VERY careful if you decide to drive over to Juarez. It is extremely dangerous and the beheadings are almost an every day occurance. It is probably better to stay on this side of the border.

Back in 76 i believe they came to Norman with a pretty good QB that died of Cancer within a couple of years after we played them i believe.

Do not cross into Juarez. My in-laws are refugees from the violence. They have...had...a small business there and were threatened by extortionists....they have since moved in with us. Friends of theirs have been murdered for not paying. Kidnapping is a very real possibility for americans.

Anyway, good news is that it's rumored that OU is politicking very hard to get the Alamo Bowl...promising lots of sold tickets and hotel rooms. Do not give up on San Antonio.

We played in Berkeley in 97 or 98 - still under Blake - we got behind, but made a game of it late until finally losing.

97 in Berkeley
98 in Norman

Both games we had no business losing.

GO to the Alamo Bowl's Web site. Which team pops up first?

http://www.valeroalamobowl.com/main/index.php

That's their web site not OU's.

The word here is Houston is that the Sand Aggies don't travel well to Texas Bowls and don't spend much when they get there. After all you can only get 12 in a pick'em up truck and the KOA campgrounds are always full.

Boss had lunch with a regent today. Said they are feeling good about the Alamo Bowl.
