heh...

Rick's team didn't take too kindly to Pete's throwing a TD bomb with 0:44 to go...

I would've donated to pay Rick's fine if he waded over and punched Petey the Clown right in his frickin' face.

He gets dick-moved by Harbaugh, so he takes out his frustration on Neuheisel. Classless. Total lack of class.

TOTAL lack of class.

he tried to take a knee...

i looked away for a second after the timeout and thought it was a replay :D

I want to meet USC in the Sun Bowl so bad. Pete's team is a bunch of c*nts. 44 seconds left, yeah, throw a bomb for a TD to go up 28-7 instead of running the clock out. Real classy Pete. The trojan players are acting like b****es, too. They wouldn't score sh** against our defense. And theirs isn't good enough to shut us down any more than puke.

Maybe Petey still thinks he can get a BCS at-large bid with some style points.

Wonder what the pundits will say about it?

USC took a knee on 1st and 10. UCLA called it's first timeout. Then USC threw deep for the TD.

yeah, if you didn't want to keep playing, don't call a time-out

USC had the ball 1st and ten, ahead by 14 points, at midfield with less than a minute to go.

On the first play they take a knee in coverup formation.

Neuhesiel calls his first time out.

The next play USC comes out in obvious pass formation, and throws a 50 yard touchdown pass.

By UCLA taking a time out, they were obviously rejecting USC's offer to end the game without any attempt to score.

UCLA has no reason at all to be upset about getting burned on a touchdown pass, anymore than if they would have got burned in the 1st quarter on a 50 yard touchdown pass. They wanted to keep the game going!!

I refuse to believe Pete was worried at all. He knew he would win. His ego just made him go for it again with Rick calling TO. Its still weak sauce IMO. Its all ego-crap with them, so whatever. I don't really care, but I just get tired of Pete's cocky attitude.

The I is the complete opposite of an obvious pass formation.

Okay, let's see here. . . courtesy of TIVO. . . .

The play in question was a spread formation with the quarterback back six yards or so, and three wideouts.

I don't think that is a "I formation", and I suspect that to even the most casual observer would not be surprised to see a pass thrown on the ensuing play.

OMG you know nothing about football. It was an I formation with 2 WRs.

The recap is here. (http://sports.espn.go.com/ncf/recap?gameId=293320030) Go to the :47 mark after waiting through ads.

Didn't we pull something like a Pete Carroll last year against Missouri? Memory is fuzzy.

We wouldn't score **** against their defense either. With how turnover prone we are, we will lose against 'SC.

i'm pretty sure i heard a story about Barry doing this to OSU onceNo.The closest thing to something like that was Gibbs vs. Pat Jones.Jones called a timeout with around 3 seconds on the clock before halftime.Gibbs responded by having Cale Gundy heave a pass from midfield to Adrian Cooper in the endzone for a TD.

We tried to throw to the endzone, but that was in a championship game. Carroll isn't playing for anything more than a chance to beat up on his old offensive and defensive coordinators.

I'm pretty sure I don't give a crap how "classless" Pete is to Neuweasel, hell Neuweasel deserves any classlessness that the rest of the Pac-10 wants to distribute to him.

Don't Boz's nephews graduate after this year?

BoulderSooner79

I still say Neuheisel got the reaction he wanted. He brought UCLA into the same conversation with USC. I doubt it makes much difference in the grand scheme of things, but it's an uphill battle he's fighting. I say spek to slick Rick.

Why would that matter? The game was well in hand.

Not that I'm complaining. I figure that you try to rack up as many points as you can. But I'm not sure we can complain about PC doing it without looking like hypocrites. However, his complaining about Jim Harbaugh doing it is pretty bush league.

That's my main issue with this...he cried about Stanford and he turns around and does something like this. And he'll probably cry next time someone else racks the points up on him too. He's the one that's a hypocrite.

Now we all know why Pete was so upset/dispointed/pissed with Sanchez going to the NFL.
