Just read that he took a couple of steps on Owen Field today.

That makes me happier than even the Bedlam win. Congratulations Corey!

When they said he got to walk on the field, I felt good about the effort we could expect from everyone else.

If that doesn't inspire you you're dead.

Seeing that video of him takin a few steps today before the game was really touching and puts it all in perspective. Still hopin to see him walk the team onto the field one day before a big game. The stadium would erupt if that ever happens. Congratulations Corey and keep up the hard work.

It's really pathetic that this thread is so slow.

Come on Sooners...Stand up for a great human being.

I had to hide some tears behind my sunglasses. Sometimes you don't realize just how good you have it.

Amen brother, amen!

It was awesome thought to see him take those steps.

Yeah was awesome. Like someone else said, really put everything into perspective. When a lot of us thought we had it bad because of our favorite college football team having a down year, just imagine what this kid is going through.

Great to see that and wish him all the best. Big ups to Bob too. Visiting him everyday and getting him breakfast. GO SOONERS

the whole Senior Day deal was pretty depressing.

it was awesome to see him out of the wheelchair though

It's a special day...I choose not to be depressed about it.

I know what you mean though...what with all the crutches and slings and what have you.

He was using a walker but it was pretty sobering to watch. Everyone on the team and in the stands seemed to realize what was happening and were very supportive. It was great to see him get recognized with the seniors.
On a side note those of you that weren't at the game missed a video of Sam speaking about what playing for OU had meant to him. It was shown before the pre-game video.

I think I remember reading somewhere that he vowed to walk on Senior Day? But it was an amazing sight, he was truly an inspiration to everyone.
