First, I dont study the NFL enough to know how the O-lineman are doing so anyone who wants to update that feel free. This does not include practice squad players

CJ Ah You- 17 tackles and a sack for the Rams. I believe he is hurt now

Remi Ayodele - 15 Tackles and 1.5 sacks for the Saints, also a def TD

Mark Bradley- 18 catches for 233 yds and a TD for the Chiefs

Mark Clayton- 25 catches for 328 yds and 2 Tds, only 3 catches the last 3 games for the Ravens

Kelly Gregg- 37 tackles

Nic Harris- 8 tackles for the Bills

Tommie Harris- 14 tackles, 2 sacks and an INT. Since he punched the guy he has really picked it up with 5 tackles and 2 sacks in the last 2 games

Iggy- Hasnt played yet

Hartley- Back with Saints but hasnt kicked since suspension which is surprising unless he is kicking off?

Clint Ingram- Since a great rookie season he hasnt done a whole lot, having a decent yr this yr with 38 tackles and a sack

Brandon Jones- Signed a big contract with the 49ers in the offseason but has been limited by injuries all year. No stats to date

Malcom Kelly- Another disappointing season, I hear there are attitude issues now? 10 catches for 131 yards with the Skins

Lofton- Absolute Stud, again! He has 101 tackles for the Falcons which leads the NFL

AD- 999 yards rushing and 11 Tds, 215 yds receiving, on pace to rush for 1598 yards, is currently 3rd in the NFL in rushing

Brodney Pool- Having a great year, may push for a Pro Bowl spot? 48 tackles, 1 sack, and 4 ints for the Browns

Roy Williams- Started off the season playing well but has been hurt for the last 5 games. 28 tackles

Reggie Smith- 1 tackle, not playing much in 9er land

Jimmy Wilkerson- Started off playing great for the Bucs, has tailed off some recently. 37 tackles, 5.5 sacks, 2 forced fumbles

Brodney Pool stats may be a little inflated seeing is how much they are on the field...good player though

I'm surprised in the lack of playing time for:

Reggie Smith..had a great pre-season
Nic Harris....still the heir apparent to that OLB spot...

Im not surprised with Iglesias not seeing the field..had a great rookie camp, but struggled against proven NFL corners in getting separation during the pre-season..

Malcolm Kelly with an attitude? Say it isn't so....

Also, I was glad to see CJ finally make a roster

Stoops is averaging around 4.5 players in the NFL every year with about 15% of those turning into All pro or pro bowl players, not too bad

Jammal Brown (OT, Saints) is on IR, out for the season. :(

I'm pretty sure Hartley has not seen any action for the Saints after his suspension. I know Carney is kicking FGs and XPs and I think the punter, Morsted, is doing the KOs (I need to pay more attention).

Health is an issue for all NFL players, not just OU alums.

Isn't the average pro career less than three years?

3 1/2 seasons....but you can't say that its completely related to health issues...a lot of that would be performance/team needs issues

I WIN! I WIN!!!!

The kicker position has the shortest career length...And I wouldn't say its because the kickers are getting hurt..

You should say "bad kickers." Good ones last longer (said the actress to the bishop. :O ) Carney of New Orleans is 45 years old.

yeah its funny..the longest careers belong to kickers, but on average, they have the shortest careers

BoulderSooner79
11/24/2009, 07:55 PM
Kickers often have many career segments - coaches swap them out on a whim, but every coach has 3-4 of them on speed dial.

exactly....thats why the terrible average..

I was just proving the point that the short career of the avg NFLr wasn't neccessarily an injury/beat up body issue

Loadholt is having a great season for the vikes. The twin cities moniker is very apt. And does contribute to AD being elite

Well, AD had two good seasons before Phil but I cant imagine he hurts anything

11/26/2009, 12:58 AM
Phil seems to have gotten over some discipline/fundamentals problems he had in college. He's on pace to be a star. As much as an OL can be a star.

well Phil was put on the right offensive line to to develop properly. Lots of good experience on that line with him.

Jeff Feagles was on that Miami team that beat Switzer in his last NC game appearance & he's STILL in the league. Dude made the Pro Bowl just a couple of years ago too.

Is this why Hartley hasn't gotten any playing time after serving his four-game suspension?

Did you hear that an OU player got signed to the Steelers, who cut an OSU player to make roster room?

who knows, Hartley didnt miss a FG last yr but I guess Carney is more dependable

Curtis Lofton makes watching the Falcons fun. He is in on virtually every play and last week had 11 tackles v. the Gints.

Announcers have said in several games that he is the absolute leader of his team...not bad for a second-year guy.

BoulderSooner79

Imagine if Lofton had stayed his senior year last season. Lofton and RR as the 2 deep at MLB. Sigh.

Another reason?

Kicker was wide to the left last Sunday, got home depressed,
put a gun to his head
and was wide to the left again.
