I am sure LSU message boards are lighting up more than ours right now over this. Les Miles, as stipulated in his contract, must be the highest-paid coach in the SEC. Les is getting ripped over this down here in Tigah country, and rightly so. His generally poor game-management was already recognized, but this incident was the stupidest ever - a screw-up of colossal proportion in IMAX 3-D . And he's making it worse by failing to confess that he was totally unprepared and clueless at the end of the game. He has tried to vaguely deny that he ordered a spike, even though the TV plainly shows him making a spike signal. I don't think Les can even believe how dumb he really is. It's almost Karmic after all the dumb luck he has had. You just can't keep stupid down! LSU fans have seen the behind the curtain and they know there's not a wizard back there. It makes one appreciate Bob all the more.

LSU has a lot going for it that would make it easy for a new coach to step in and succeed.

1- Big fanbase
2- Good facilities
3- Easy to recruit in Texas

Of course, these are the same things that Texas A&M has going for it... :rcmad:
