As for Hawkins goin for it on 4th and 3, he did the same thing (his QB, which isn't sagin much). Colorado had already converted a 4th and 2 once. And yes, I know that OSU just scored after they didn't convert. Hindsight might be 20/20, but no coach ever has the benefit of what will happen on the opponent's drive.
