Just in time for Veterans Day. (http://www.tulsaworld.com/sportsextra/OU/article.aspx?subjectid=92&articleid=20091111_92_0_hrimgs907175)

Fellow OU women's basketball enthusiasts may remember Caton Hill as the three-point specialist from the first Final Four run.

Be safe, Captain Hill :)

As a fellow Army Officer, I say, "welcome aboard, and welcome to my AOR."

That's AWESOME!!! ...I don't remember her ever being a "three-point specialist" though. :D

She is not Bobby Knight's favorite Whitney Hand, but she did have a .396 percentage during her career (citation here (http://www.soonersports.com/sports/w-baskbl/mtt/hill_caton00.html)). I remember seeing her hit four in one half against the Pokes during the (not)Goodenough era.

She might not be a 3-point speciailist nationally, but I think she was the best on the team during her time.

I remember Rosalind Ross being the gunner on that team. LaNeisha Caufield could hit a bunch too.

Caton could definitely step out, but I wouldn't call that her specialty. Using that wonderful, wide butt of hers to seal off players was beautiful to watch.

I hope she doesn't mind me calling her butt wide, but it was. Once she had you sealed you had no chance of getting around her. As fundamentally sound a ballplayer as Sherri's ever had.

I'm not trying to start a debate here or anything, but here are the first Final Four season stats:

Dales: .387
Ross: .397
Hill: .398

I'm not sure on LaNeisha, but we'd have to assume that she also hit right around .400 (wow, no wonder we went to the title game that year - four players that can hit three's that well?!?!?!).

Also for the record, Whitney Hand hit .373 last season, so there's definitely room for improvement.
